Known and Found Before Knowing and Finding

This morning in John’s Gospel we find Jesus traveling to another town to find two more followers. Philip and Nathanael both confessed His identity as the prophesied and long-expected King. They also realized they were known and found by Him before they found and knew Him.

Jesus is fine with us saying that we found Him and know Him. But His knowledge and finding precede ours. Be amazed and be encouraged by this! Those friends and family you want to bring to Jesus, to “come and see” the Savior, are already known by Him. He gets there before we do!

Who is this man of humble beginnings who seeks and saves those he already knows all about? Let’s find out this morning.
