The disciples finally understand and believe! Jesus knows all and is from the Father!

Or do they? Or do they believe as much or as strongly as they think they do?

Jesus sees their faith. Jesus knows and understands where their hearts are. And in a beautiful moment of grace and truth, Jesus points out the truth that their faith is not yet to the point where it will pass the test of persecution, but gives them grace to experience the peace of His victory.

It has been said that most Christians live in the place between Romans 7 and Romans 8, the place between “I am a wretched, double-minded sinner!” and “I am more than a conqueror!” And Jesus, who is truthful and gracious, knows and understands, and He continues to promise us His peace in His conquest of the world.
