This week we will be with the prophet Micah. Micah pointed out the sin of the leaders in every part of society, the prince, the priest and the prophet. Israel’s civic and religious leaders were working simply for what they could get out of it. If it did not profit them personally, they were not interested. Micah called them to repent. God was not just looking for an outward form of worship, but for people who acted justly, loved being kind, and walked humbly with their God.
