Letter 7 of 7: Repentance or Regurgitation

The last of the seven letters from Jesus to the seven churches is to the church at Laodicea, one of the churches about which Jesus had nothing good to say. What Jesus has to say is actually quite revolting and frightening. He describes the Laodicean church as ‘lukewarm’, neither cold and refreshing or hot and healing. That lukewarmness had God threatening to spew them out of his mouth. But that does not mean it is a hopeless situation for the Laodicean church. The first item on their list is to repent. Fervently, urgently repent. The second item on their list is to open the doors of their church to Jesus for fellowship with him.
