Dread:
Verb – anticipate with great apprehension or fear; to feel extreme reluctance to meet or face
Noun –
1a: great fear especially in the face of impending evil
1b: extreme uneasiness in the face of a disagreeable prospect
2: one causing fear or awe
Isaiah the prophet had given Israel a message of impending, inescapable doom.
Israel was filled with dread.
And God told the people they needed to choose a better, higher dread.
