In the New Testament, the church has many different names:
– The Bride of Christ
– The Body of Christ
– The Church of the Living God
– God’s Household
But the it just might be that the very first thing they called themselves is “Followers of the Way”.
God has always spoken to His people about the way, His way. God has always spoken to His people about the need to stay on His path – the way of wisdom, the way of righteousness, the way of peace. And His people have always had a hard time staying on that path.
So imagine just how astounding it was when Jesus Christ comes along and says “I am the way”!
This morning we will look at the rich biblical history of “the way” and how the vision of Creekside Bible Church has us continuing that tradition as “Followers of The Way”.
