God’s love for us can become God’s love in us.John tells us that God’s love in us can be “perfected”.

The perfecting of love has two aspects in our passage today:

1. Perfected love casts out the fear of both God’s judgment and His accountability.

2. Perfected love becomes love for one another, which is God’s love made visible to the world.
