Creekside Bible Church has a goal of 20,000 steps of faith by 2020. We’ve taken a whole lot of steps! But reporting our steps seems to come in batches, when the challenge is a little more clear. So we are taking up the “Thanksgiving, No Complaining, Step Challenge.” In John 6, we saw Jesus perform the astounding miracle of multiplying a boy’s lunch to feed thousands. John gives us insight into the means of the miracle: Jesus gave thanks. John tells us this twice. Thanksgiving ushered in power. And Jesus was met with grumbling and complaining when He said He came to be bread, not just give bread. Complaining blocks faith and trust. Thanksgiving expresses faith and ushers in trust.
